Myth:  The right cream can solve it all.

Fact
:
One cream can’t do it all.  Science-based skin care is a multi-step process. Dr. Denese's Six-Step Program includes Cleansing, Exfoliation, Stimulating, Building, Sealing and Protecting as a path to healthy skin.

Myth:  All the big, expensive skin care brands use the latest scientific ingredients.

Fact:
:
Some of the most expensive, major brands are not at the forefront of skin science.  They are conservative and slow-moving in adopting the latest research.

Myth:  Exfoliation may thin the skin in the long run.

Fact:
Exfoliation actually promotes skin thickness.   The skin is a dynamic organ and the more you exfoliate, the more you stimulate cellular turnover and produce collagen.  Skin thickness is what ultimately improves the look of lines and wrinkles.

Myth:  SPF 15 is adequate protection against the sun.

Fact:  The best way to protect your skin is to wear SPF 30 every day, rain or shine.  The sun is the single biggest cause of aging skin.

Myth:  Skin care that temporarily irritates the skin is bad.  Skin care has to feel good all the time.

Fact:
To get results during the skin-stimulating/building phase, you have to use strong ingredients.  You may feel a tingle or experience redness.  These are signs that the product is working.

Myth:  If a product doesn’t work, it’s your fault.

Fact:
Your skin is not the problem, the problem is the product.  You should expect results.
